Songs
that reflect God’s unfailing love:
One
of the most powerful experiences we can have is while engaging
in music. And for the believer engaged in God's Story it elicits
a worship to the God who has revealed to us the most profound
realities ever encountered by the human heart! Music is indeed
a universal language as we note the world's utter dependence
upon it for processing pain, for celebration, and for life
itself.
While
we gather at various churches and worship with their particular
songs we have noticed a significant turn in their emphasis
in the last few years. They have transitioned from being primarily
about our personal worship to God/Jesus to including a more
global scope. The latest songs are calling the earth, the
world, the nations, all mankind to come and worship our Redeemer
and Savior. It's as if they have caught the Psalmist's passion
to cry, "everything that has breath, praise the Lord!"
This makes sense in the presence of something truly beautiful;
it is the natural human tendency to call others to join in
what you are experiencing. Joy must be shared in order to
be completed. And the more persons we share it with the greater
will be our joy. So it would be a natural God-given craving
to not be satisfied until "all the earth" can see
and experience what we are beholding...the Source of all love,
healing, beauty, and glory.
We
are thankful to be able to express the full vision of the
gospel through the songs we sing. Here are some examples of
the sweeping pronouncements made by our worship leaders through
song yet still censored in word. It's as if our hearts are
soaring far ahead of our doctrine and prophetically singing
what we somehow know has to be true...

All
of Creation by Mercy Me
Separated
until the veil was torn
The moment that hope was born
and guilt was pardoned once and for all
Captivated
but no longer bound by chains
left at an empty grave
the sinner and the sacred resolved
And
all of creation sing with me now
lift up your voice and lay your burden down
and all of creation sing with me now
fill up the heavens let His glory resound...
And
every knee will bow oh and every tongue praise the Father
praise the Son
and the Spirit in one...

The
Love of God --traditional
hymn by Mercy Me
The
love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.
O
love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
The saints’ and angels’ song.
When years of time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men, who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.
Could
we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry.
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

Lost
are saved; find their way; at the sound of Your great name
All condemned; feel no shame, at the sound of Your great name
Every fear; has no place; at the sound of Your great name
The enemy; he has to leave; at the sound of Your great name
Jesus,
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain for us, Son of God and Man
You are high and lifted up; and all the world will praise
Your great name
All
the weak; find their strength; at the sound of Your great
name
Hungry souls; receive grace; at the sound of Your great name
The fatherless; they find their rest; at the sound of Your
great name
Sick are healed; and the dead are raised; at the sound of
Your great name
Jesus,
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain for us, Son of God and Man
You are high and lifted up; and all the world will praise
Your great name
God
of All Glory by
Jeremy Riddle
God
of the heavens
King of matchless worth
Lord of all nations
Judge of the earth
By mercy we come
And out of love we cry
God
of all glory
Savior of the world
Holy One eternal
Let Your praise fill the earth
Oh fill the earth!
Oh let it fill the earth!
Fill the earth!
We
raise holy hands
We extol the King of Kings
We rend our whole hearts
As a fragrant offering
Lifting up one voice
Resounding out one cry (oh let it ring, let it rise!)
We
sing God of glory
Savior of the world
Holy One Eternal
Let Your praise fill this earth
Oh fill the earth!
Oh fill the earth!
Oh let it fill the earth!
Fill the earth.

Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come, yeah
With all creation I sing:
Praise to the King of Kings!
You are my everything,
And I will adore You!
You
Reign by
Mercy Me
Even
before there was a drop in the ocean
even before there was a star in the sky
even before the world was put in motion
You were on Your throne, You were on Your throne.
You
reign glory in the highest You reign
let creation testify by Your name every knee will bow
and every tongue proclaim that Jesus reigns.
Even
before Your hand made the heavens
even before the breath of all mankind
even before we had to be forgiven
You were on Your throne, You were on Your throne.
